Rites at Klemme for C. Marshall
Clyde V. Marshall, 81, former resident of Klemme, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Maitland, Florida.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church of Klemme, at I p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, with the Rev. J. E. Albertson officiating.
Mrs. Russell Thorson and Mrs. Roy Arnold sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. Robert Schulz, organist. Everett Guth served as usher.
Burial was made in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme, with the Johnston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Merlyn Helps, Merle Marshall, Carroll Priebe, Francis Rayhons, Jim Arnold and Francis Ames.
Born at Delavin, Ill., on July 22, 1885, he was the son of Darius and Mary Ruth Marshall. As a youth he received his education in the schools of Illinois.
On Nov. 22, 1907, he was married to Josephine Margold at San Jose, Illinois. In 1915 he moved to the Klemme area and with his wife lived and farmed near there until 1939. Mrs. Marshall died in August of 1936.
On July 22, 1939, he was married in Sheboygan, Wis., to Clara Schaper and together they had made their home in Wisconsin until recently, when they moved to Florida.
Surviving are his wife, Clara; one daughter, Mrs. Harlow Helps, Klemme; one sister, Mrs. Grace Cunningham, San Jose, Ill.; a step-son, Ben Schaper, Maitland, Florida; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Josephine, and one son, Robert; two brothers, one sister, a grandson and a great granddaughter.
