OBITUARY OF MRS. O. J. TYLER

Mrs. O. J. Tyler, daughter of Thorn and Malinda Hovda Thornson, was born in Leland, LaSalle county, Ill., January 13, 1858, and was married to Mr. O. J. Tyler February 22, 1877. To this union three children were born: Dennis F., Eva Mabel (Mrs. Stuckey of Omaha), and Inez Luella (Mrs. Roy Woodruff), all of whom survive and all of whom were at her bedside when she passed away. She is also survived by her husband and by three sisters and one brother, all of Leland, Ill., Mrs. A. A. Bjelland, Mrs. Frank Gunderson, Mrs. John Olson, and Mr. John Thornson.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, at one o'clock at the home and one thirty at the Bethesda Lutheran church, conducted by Rev.K. O. Eittreimm. Beautiful songs were sung by Miss Matilda Olson, Miss Emma Nelson, and Mr. S. L. Ostrem.

The floral tributes were very numerous and very beautiful.

Mrs. Tyler had been in poor health for many years, suffering from a complication of diseases. Only four months ago, she was very seriously ill and not expected to live, but she regained her strength enough to be able to be up and around the home again. At that time Rev. Norstad was at her bedside many times, offering prayers for her and for her family, and said he was sure that she was safe with Jesus.

Mrs. Tyler was again taken sick April 29th and failed rapidly. For the last four or five days she was unconscious, passing away May 8, 1918, at 12:45 P. M.

Mrs. Tyler was an exceptionally good, kind, and loving mother and wife, and the only consolation of the family is found in the fact that their loved one is in Heaven, where the poor prom will never more be racked with the agonies of pain, and tears of sorrow are unknown.

Numerous relatives and friends of the family from out of town were present at the funeral services, including many from Fort Dodge, Ellsworth, Webster City, Woolstock, and Story City.

Mr. Tyler and family have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
