MRS. READE PASSED AWAY

Died Suddenly In Chair At Home Of Heart Disease Friday Morning February 25th.

The entire community was shocked Friday forenoon to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Jeremiah Reade, who expired suddenly and without a moment's warning while sitting in her chair at her home. Death came at 8:30 o'clock of heart disease.

Mrs. Reade had been in poor health for the past three years, suffering from a complication of diseases. For the past two months she has not eaten her meals at the table, it having been the custom to serve her in her chair. Friday morning she arose at the usual hour, apparently feeling as well as usual. Breakfast was served her in her chair near the fire, and while she was eating Mr. Reade went down town after his mail. A few moments afterwards he was called home by word that his wife was dead.

The funeral service was held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Christian church conducted by Rev. Miller, and the remains were interred in Evergreen cemetery.

The bereaved husband and children have the sincere sympathy of hosts of friends in Jewell and vicinity in their sad loss.
