MRS. KNUDT HELGESON DIED IN AMES

Mrs. Knudt Helgeson, 88, a resident of Story county for 32 years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. L. Egemo, in Ames Saturday morning. She had been in poor health for the past 14 months, her death resulting from old age.

Mrs. Helgeson was born in Norway August 2, 1844, and had lived in the United States 63 years, half of that time in this county. Her husband died some years ago, and she had resided with her daughter since.

Besides her daughter in Ames, she also leaves another daughter, Mrs. C. C. Omvig of Spirit Lake, two sons, Henry of Ames and Martin of Hollandale, Minn., and two brothers, Math Mathiason of Walnut Grove, Minn., and Oliver Mathiason of Rochelle, Ill.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Adams chapel, with Rev. L. A. Pierson, pastor of the Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was made in the Lake Center cemetery in Hamilton county.
