Mrs. Christian Knudson Died in Jewell

Mrs. Christian Knudson, 74, widely known Jewell resident, died at her home there last Friday night [July 8, 1932], death being caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been seriously ill for three days, but in poor health for two years.

Mrs. Knudson, who before her marriage was Miss Bodil Marie Dammand, was born in Denmark Jan. 28, 1858, and came to the United States in 1880, settling on a farm near Story City.

She moved to a farm north of Jewell after her marriage to Mr. Knudson in 1883, and the family retired and moved to Jewell in 1918 where they had since lived.

Mr. and Mrs. Knudson had nine children, twins dying in infancy. She is survived by her husband and seven children, one sister and one brother.
