MRS. IDA I. HOLT

Mrs. Ida I. Holt passed away Thursday, May 5th, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 6 days, at the home of her son, Byron D. Holt, in Story City.

She was born on a farm near Spragueville, Iowa, Nov. 29th, 1855, and there spent her girlhood. She was united in marriage to Byron D. Holt, and they lived together in Iowa all their life. To this union three children were born all of whom are living, also an adopted son.

She leaves to mourn her sudden departure, three sisters, Mrs. Clara Burtis of Enid, Okla., Mrs. E. W. Detwiler of Vinton and Mrs. Effie Woodard of Kinder, La. Two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Holt of Des Moines and Mrs. Eunice McGonigle of Eagle Grove; two sons, Harvey E. Holt of Des Moines and Byron D. Holt of Story City.

She also leaves to mourn 11 grand children and eight great grand children. Her husband preceded her in death in 1906 and since then she has made her home with her children.

Short services were held at the Byron Holt home, followed by services at the Federated church in Jewell. Interment was made in Ellsworth cemetery.
