OBITUARY

Sena Kathrine Christensen was born in Jylland, Denmark, May 27, 1870, and died at the Webster City hospital August 21, 1930, being at the time of her death 60 years, 2 months and 21 days old.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church of Ostrop, Denmark. At the age of 14 years she emigrated to America with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Peder Rasmussen.

She was married to J. J. Christensen when she was 18 years old. Since then the family has had its home in Randall. Nine children were born to this union, who all live with the exception of one, Dora, who died in infancy. The children who survive are: Mrs. Anna Gresdal, Des Moines; P. T. Christensen, Stratford; Mrs. Lena Neel, Charles City; Clarence, Elmer, Arthur, Donald and Clifford, all of Randall. With their father these children mourn the loss of a dear and kind-hearted mother.

She leaves eight grandchildren; also three sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs. Stena Jurgen of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Rogers of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Caroline Jensen of Des Moines, Peder Rasmussen of Radcliffe and Carl Rasmussen of St. Paul, Minn.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the Elim's Lutheran church of Randall. Rev. Paulsrud sang a solo at the house and Mrs. P. G. Pederson and Mrs. Clarence Larson sang two duets at the church. The pall bearers were P. J. Okland, P. G. Pederson, Oscar Sevold, H. B. Hanson, H. C. Matson and S. M. Teigland. Burial was made at the Danish cemetery at Randall.

The flowers were many and beautiful. Besides the gifts of flowers, a balance of $6.50 was donated to the Old People's Home at Story City in memory of Mrs. Christensen by friends of Randall and vicinity.

Neel and Minerva and Florence of Charles City; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensen, Francis Jensen, Amil Jensen, Stena Jurgenson, Albert Jurgensen, Axel Jurgensen, Mrs. Arthur Bront, Mrs. Harry Cram, all of Des Moines; Mrs. Mary Rogers, Jerome and Clayton of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Peder Rasmussen and Grace, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rasmussen of Radcliffe; Carl Rasmussen of St. Paul; Mrs. Eva Rasmusen and Florence and Leo, Mrs. Alice Crowder of Ames; Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Rasmussen of McCallsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hill of Roland; Nels Jacobson and Peter Peterson of Lake Benton, Minn.
