OBITUARY

Ingebrit Brekke

Funeral services of Ingebrit Brekke were conducted at the St. Paul church north of Rosendale, at 1:30 o'clock, Tuesday, Feb. 14th, by Rev. Oppedahl. Ingebrit Brekke was born in Ortnevik, in Sogn, Norway, September 7, 1829, and died at Stanhope, Feb. 10, 1922, following an illness of two weeks. He was united in marriage to Otine Fitje in May, 1870. To this union six children were born, one of whom died in infancy.

Mr. Brekke came to America in 1903, coming to Stanhope, where he has since made his home with his son, Ole Brekke. His wife, who has been bedfast for the past five and a half years, survives him. Other surviving relatives are his five children, Johannes, of St. Paul; Rev. S. J. Brekke, of Alvarado, Minn.; Ole of Stanhope; Mrs. John Wangsness and Mrs. Arthur Hegranes both of Grafton, N. D.; as brother, Hans, of Charles City, S. D., and two sisters, Mrs. Fuglsbo of Garritson, S. D., and Mrs. Hoveland of Norway.

The body was laid to rest in St. Paul cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hegranes and son, Ivan, of Grafton, N. D., and Arnold Hanson and Mrs. A. A. Trygstad of Armstrong, were present at the funeral.
