From Story City Herald November 15, 1906 (page 1)

IRA OLSON MURDERED OUT WEST.

A dispatch to Des Moines dailies tell of the death of Ira Olson, a pioneer of Hamilton, who lived near Ellsworth, just north of here. The body of Olson was found in a river in Washington, with a fractured skull, indicating that he had met with foul play. The body was at first unrecognizable and was interred as unknown, but was afterwards traced up and identified as Olson. The remains will be disinterred and shipped back to Ellsworth for burial.
