OBITUARY

William Heinrich Kokemiller was born Nov. 30th, 1852, in Eisernhagen, Hannover, Germany.

In infancy he was baptized and later confirmed in th Lutheran church. After completing the grammar school Wilhelm Kokemiiller attended a high school for several years. He then worked for an uncle until be became of age. In 1874, together with a brother, George, he came to America and settled in Story county. In 1883 the deceased moved on his own farm in Boone county, where he resided until his death, which came on the 9th of Dec., 1924. He reached the age of 72 years, 9 days.

His death is mourned by two brothers, Fred and George Kokemiiller, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Stoll and Miss Augusta Kokemiiller.

Funeral services were held on the 13th of December from the Fred Kokemiiller home, then at St. Paul's Lutheran church, where a German-English service was held. At this service a choir sang several hymns. Interment at the St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery. The Rev. John Schliepsick officiated.
