Mrs. Bill Patterson, 48, a longtime resident of the Blairsburg community, died early this morning at the Hamilton County hospital following a heart attack suffered earlier at the Patterson farm home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. S.W. Cunningham officiating and with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Eunice I. DeMoss, daughter of Fred C. and Beatrice DeMoss, was born July 12, 1920 at Albia, Iowa. She was reared and educated in the Albia and Ottumwa communities.

She was united in marriage June 24, 1941 to Bill Patterson and for the past 20 years the couple had farmed near Blairsburg.

She is survived by her husband; one son and one daughter, Patrick Patterson, now serving with the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, La., and Pamela Patterson, of Phoenix, Ariz.; her mother, Mrs. Beatrice DeMoss; a brother, Fred C. DeMoss, Jr., both of Albia, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Methodist church at Albia and for many years had been active in Red Cross work.
