Bill Patterson, 75, Blairsbug, died Dec. 29, 1995 at Hamilton County Public Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery at Webster City.

Bill Patterson, son of John and Rose Wylie Patterson, was born April 15, 1920 in Melcher. He graduated from Melcher High School in 1938. He attended Junior College in Webster City and Albia. He then graduated from Simpson College. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy (Coast Guard) in the San Francisco area. On June 24, 1941 he married Eunice I. DeMoss in Unionville, Mo. The couple farmed southwest of Blairsburg. His wife died in May of 1969. On Dec. 10, 1971 he married Marian (Chris) Christensen Pringle in Webster City. The couple farmed southwest of Blairsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Patterson, Blairsburg; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Darla Patterson, Blairsburg; daughter, Pamela Patterson, Stanhope, grandchildren, Laura and Carrie Patterson, both of Webster City, Eric Patterson, Blairsburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Glen, Dr. R.A. and Floyd; and sister, Mildred Moon.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Society.
