Mrs. Edward Sann, 55, of Blairsburg, died at the hospital here late Thursday afternoon, following a stroke of paralysis. She had been seriously ill for a week but had been in poor health for many years.

Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, southwest of Clarion, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. Father O'Donnell of Clarion officiating. Burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery there. Foster's in charge.

Mrs. Sann leaves six children - Mrs. L. Adams, of Clarion; Mrs. Louie Mourlam, of Woolstock; Ernest, Amos, Lela and Freda, all at home. There are also three grandchildren, Elizabeth Adams and Virgil and Dorothy Mourlam. One brother, Emil Benoit, lives in Illinois and a half brother, John Noel, lives in Nebraska. There are several brothers and sisters who live in France.

Mrs. Sann was the former Miss Jennie Benoit and was born in France Sept. 21, 1878. She came to the United States in 1903 and was married shortly after to Edward Sann, in Illinois. Within a few years, the couple came to Iowa and settled on a farm near Clarion. Still later they moved to their farm five miles northwest of Blairsburg. Mr. Sann died in 1924.

They were prominent members of the Catholic church and were widely-known in the community in which they lived.
