R.D. Kennedy, 55, died Saturday evening at the home of his brother, Glen Kennedy, 633 Oak avenue, after a long illness. Death was caused by paralysis.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. W.H. Hoge, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. W.C. Kennedy of Clarion, and the following brothers, John of Sioux City; Oscar, of Dexter, Minn.; Otto, of Kamrar; W.C. of Clarion and Glen, of this city.

His only daughter, Miss Marian, was killed in an auto accident south of town Oct. 15, 1933.

He was born in Logan county, Ill. but had lived in Hamilton county for 52 years. For many years he lived on a farm south of this city, but was compelled to retire from active work on account of poor health about two years ago.
