Nadine (Lyons) Wald, 65, of Clear Lake, a former Webster City resident, died Sunday, Nov. 19 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Mason City.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane H. O'Tool officiating. Burial will be in Cass Center Cemetery. Friends may call at Foster Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service.

Nadine Bohnett, daughter of Harry and Edith Parliman Bohnett, was born July 30, 1924 on a farm near Clarion in Wright County. She was educated at Clarion and graduated from high school in 1942.

On Sept. 18, 1947 she married James W. Lyons. The couple resided at Webster City, where Mr. Lyons was employed at the Franklin Manufacturing Co.

Following her husband's death on Oct. 21, 1967, she continued to live at Webster City, and operated the Highview Cafe at Highview until April 1978.

On April 8, 1978 she married Don Wald at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple made their home at Clear Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Don Wald of Clear Lake, two daughters, Linda Thayer of Webster City and Jackie (Mrs. Jon) Howe of Elkhorn, Neb., two sons, James G. Lyons of Webster City and Richard D. Lyons of Huxley; four step-children, Thomas E. Wald and Cindy Sherman both of Goldfield, Connie Frakes of Holstein and Tim Wald of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine Weltz of Hawthorne, Calif.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Scotty Phifer.

She was a member of the Clear Lake Women's Club.
