Mrs. Elmer (Irene) Kunz, 60, longtime resident of the community died at 10 a.m. yesterday at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient the past seven weeks. She had been in ill health the past three years.

Private family services will be held at a later date, with Foster's Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Irene B. Waters, daughter of Harry P. and Harriet Taylor Waters, was born July 14, 1914 at Adel, Iowa. She was reared and educated in that area, being graduated from Dallas Center high school.

She was united in marriage June 8, 1935 to Elmer August Kunz, and the couple made their home at Graettinger, Iowa, but for the past 18 years had resided in Webster City.

Surviving are her husband; seven sons and six daughters: Leo, Webster City; Leonard, with the U.S. Navy at Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. Howard (Charlene) Worrick, Roland and Allen, all of Webster City; Mrs. Robert (Kay) Lamirande, Minneapolis; Larry, Mrs. Kenneth (Marilyn) Kepler, Elmer, Jr., Mrs. Robert (Cynthia) Jesson, Alvin and Mrs. Larry (Beverly) Struyk, all of Webster City, and Mrs. Danny (Karen) Kepler, Dayton. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren; her father, Harry P. Waters, Winterset; two brothers and two sisters, Clyde Waters, Minburn, Iowa, Mrs. Marion (Pauline) Ostrander of DeSota, Iowa, Maurice Waters, Adel and Mrs. Ellen Mishler, Redfield, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by two sons; her mother and one brother.
