Mrs. Blanche Bourne, 59, of Alden, Minn., a former Webster City resident, died Tuesday at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Mn., following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic church in Wells, Minn., with Father John Tighe officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Graceland cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Heltner Funeral home at Wells, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Friday.

She was born May 1, 1926 at Albany, N.Y., the daughter of James Paul Meagher and Harriet Frederick Meagher. She was reared and educated in New York.

She was married March 25, 1951 at Ventura, Calif., to Don D. Bourne. After their marriage the couple lived in Oxnard, Calif., for 15 years, coming to Webster City where they resided for 10 years. They had lived at Alden, Minn. the past 10 years.

She had been employed by the city of Alden as a clerk-typist.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Amy Johnson of Storm Lake and Jill Miller of Clear Lake; two sons, John Bourne, Webster City and Michael Bourne of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; and four sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren who died in infancy.
