Mrs. Frank B. Ahlvers, 45, died at 10 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton county hospital. She had been in ill health the past year and one-half.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Harvey Prinz officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church.

Opal Ione Christensen, daughter of Herman and Mabel Christensen, was born Feb. 28, 1918 on a farm near Rake, Iowa. When she was a small girl, she moved with her parents to Des Moines and was reared and educated in that community.

She was united in marriage May 19, 1940 to Frank B. Ahlvers, and the couple made their home at Wayne, Neb., for six months, then moved to Portland, Ore. In March, 1946, the family moved to Webster City where they had since resided.

She is survived by her husband; one son and two daughters, Douglas, Christine and Dee Ann; her mother, Mrs. Mabel Christensen of Webster City; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. A.B. (Elaine) Olson of Waterloo, Wayne Christensen of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Gayle (Joanne) Maudlin of Webster City and John Christensen of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Mrs. Ahlvers was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Trinity Lutheran church of this city.
