Funeral services for Donald R. Adams, 42, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. R. Langholz of Fort Dodge officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Military services will be held at graveside.

Mr. Adams died in a drowning accident at Aransas Pass, Texas Friday.

Donald Ray Adams, son of Antone and Bessie Adams, was born Jan. 23, 1919 at Webster City. He was reared and educated in this community.

He served in World War II, being located in the European war theater. He received the purple heart award for wounds suffered in action and was also awarded the RAMET ribbon, the infantry combat badge and the good conduct badge.

He was united in marriage July 25, 1947 to Evelyn Daehn and Mr. and Mrs. Adams resided in Webster City and Fort Dodge until 1960 when they moved to Aransas Pass, Texas.

He is survived by his wife; four children, Judy, Gary, Tony and Penny, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antone Adams of Pine River, Minn., his grandmother, Mrs. Eda Adams of Webster City; one sister, Mrs. Bennet Cole of this city, and three brothers, Clarence Adams, Webster City, Orville Adams, Fort Dodge and Kenneth Adams of Motley, Minn.

He was preceded in death by one daughter.
