Harold B. Miller, 73, a retired farmer in the Mulberry Center community, died early today at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for two days. He died of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 Friday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating and with burial in the Cass Center cemetery.

Friends may call at Foster's after 5 p.m. today.

Harold Byron Miller, son of Adam Poe and Grace Doolittle Miller, was born Feb. 21, 1909 on the family farm north of Webster City. He was reared and educated in the Mulberry Center area.

On Feb. 23, 1939 he was married to Georgia Norman at Fort Dodge, and the couple had farmed in the Mulberry Center area until his retirement in 1976, but they continued to reside on the farm.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Carolynn Miller of Webster City; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Weir, Elmer A. Miller, Mrs. Melford (Leta) Nicholson and Ray Miller, all of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother and one sister.

He was a member of the Mulberry Center United Methodist church.
