Mrs. Nora Norman, 92, longtime Webster City area resident, died Saturday evening at Crestview Manor.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Charles Hawkins officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Friends may call at Foster's after 1 p.m. today and until service time.

Nora McDowell, daughter of Elisha and Dorcas Upton McDowell, was born Feb. 5, 1892 at Decatur, Iowa and was educated there.

On Oct. 12, 1907 she was married to Russell Norman and for 32 years the couple farmed in and around Decatur county. In 1939, the family moved to Woolstock where they operated a grocery store.

The couple moved to Webster City in 1940. Mrs. Norman was employed by the Selby and the Fairmont Frozen Food firms.

She was preceded in death by her husband in April, 1969.

For the past 10 and one-half years she had been a resident of Crestview Manor.

She is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. Fred (Thelma) Rhodes, Des Moines; Mrs. Kyle (Hildred) Germaine, Toddville, Iowa; Mrs. Frank (Marjorie) Pettit and Mrs. Dean (Pauline) Seeman, both of Cedar Rapids; Beulah McKay, Mrs. Harold (Georgia) Miller and Mrs. Lowell (Betty) Caquelin, all of Webster City; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Everett McDowell of Oregon.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son and one daughter; both parents, four brothers and one sister.

She was baptized in the Baptist faith.
