Funeral services for Kenneth C. Norman, 59, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. R.M. Roden officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Norman died Saturday afternoon at the home of his son, Gerald Sweet, in Colorado Springs, Colo., where Mr. and Mrs. Norman had been visiting.

Kenneth Chauncey Norman, son of Russell and Nora [McDowell] Norman, was born April 7, 1908, on a farm near Decatur, Iowa. He was reared and educated in the Decatur community, later moving to Webster City.

Mr. Norman served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and for most of his service was located in Germany. Following his discharge, he returned to Webster City where he was united in marriage Aug. 22, 1946 to Myrtle Stone. Mr. and Mrs. Norman had always since resided in Webster City where Mr. Norman for 12 years was employed by the Illinois Central railroad.

He was later employed at the former Morton Frozen Foods Co. plant here.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Margaret) Baldwin, Webster City, and one son, Gerald Sweet of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Denise, Dennis Lee, Chris, Jim and Gerald Sweet, Jr.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Norman of Webster City; eight sisters, Mrs. Charles McKay, Mrs. Harold Miller and Mrs. Lowell Caquelin, all of Webster City, Mrs. Kyle Germaine, Mrs. Frank Pettit and Mrs. Herman Candler, and Mrs. Dean Seeman, all of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Fred Rhodes, Leon, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.
