BELLE GROVER ENDS HER LIFE

Cromwell, Minn., Woman Had Been Visiting Near Jewell

Mrs. Belle Grover, 56, ended her life today by hanging herself in a shed on the M.O. Johnson farm, five miles southeast of Jewell, according to Dr. W.B. Lewis, county coroner. The act was attributed to poor health.

Mrs. Grover, whose home was in Cromwell, Minn., had been visiting at the Johnson home for some time, Mrs. Johnson being her sister.

She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sexe, former residents of Jewell.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Iver Wicklund, St. Paul, and a son, Stanley, Cromwell, Minn. Her husband preceded her in death two years ago.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Fleenor, of Jewell, in charge.

STANHOPE OBSERVER, STANHOPE, IOWA Thursday, October 24, 1940

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Fleenor Funeral home in Jewell by the Rev. Carl Opsahl, pastor of Bethesda Lutheran church, of Jewell, and interment was made in the family plot at Cromwell, Minn.
