J.G. BILLINGS, AGE 82, DIES

Services to Be Held at Foster Funeral Home Tomorrow at 3

ILL LONG TIME

John G. Billings, 82, died last evening at 7 o'clock at his home, 714 Walnut street, following a long illness. Death was caused by stomach trouble and other ailments incident to old age. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Foster funeral home, the Rev. W.H. Hoge officiating, burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Billings had no children. His wife died in 1930 and he is survived only by three nephews - Floyd, of Red Oak, Lester of Tucson, Ariz., and Melvin of Hollywood, Calif.

He had been a resident of this community for the past 50 years, coming here from New York state. He was a carpenter by trade but had been retired for many years.

He took an active part while still in good health in all affairs of the Baptist church, of which he was a long time member and also of the Masonic lodge and Eastern Star.
