DEATH TAKES MRS. BILLINGS

Funeral Services for Widely Known Resident to Be Saturday

ILL TWO WEEKS

Mrs. John G. Billings, widely known in this city, died at the hospital this morning about 3:30 o'clock following an illness of about two weeks. She suffered a paralytic stroke about two weeks ago, and her condition has been serious since then.

Funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. W.H. Hoge, at the Foster funeral home, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

Besides her husband there is one sister who survives, Mrs. H.R. Dodge, of this city. There are many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.

Viola Jenkinson, daughter of Jesse and Mary Funk Jenkinson, was born at Pottsville, Pa., March 9, 1859. The earlier years of her life were spent in Pennsylvania. In 1892 she came to Webster City, and for two years made her home with her sister, Mrs. H.F. Dodge.

Nov. 14, 1894, she was married to John G. Billings and with him she had lived through the years in a companionship that had been tender and beautiful. She had been, for many years, a faithful and devoted member of the Baptist church of this city and in every relationship she has measured up as a real and consistent Christian.

She was also an honored member of Sharon chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
