Death of Anna Ely

At the family home on West Walnut street, Saturday, June 1st, at 5:45 p.m., occured the death of Miss Anna Ely, aged 23 years, after a lingering illness of many months. She was a victim of that dread disease, consumption, and all that skilled physicians could do and tender nursing by loved ones was of no avil. She passed away as peacefully as a little child falls asleep. The funeral was held at the family residence at 10 o'clock today, Dr. Amos Crum conducting the service.
