Marjorie A. Williams, 90, died of cancer Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Kavanagh House on 56th St. in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home.

Marge was born September 2, 1914 at the family home in Webster City, Iowa, the sixth of seven children born to Arthur and Rachel Wilson. In 1939 she married Malvin Williams. She had lived in the Des Moines area for 70 years.

Marge was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Pilot Club. She volunteered at Living History Farms and Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Marge was a real lady who loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge, movies, traveling and doing needlepoint.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Mal, her parents; and five siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Bauer of Denver, CO and Sherri Harris of Des Moines; a sister, Ella Carmichael of Ankeny; two grandchildren, Timothy Harris and Lauri Mazigian; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Rasmussen; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on 56th Street or to Ovarian Cancer Research.
