Helen Hartnett, 94, of Webster City, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Crestview Senior Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. John Flaherty celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and prior to the Mass at the church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. followed by a Scripture Service.

Helen Blanche Hanrahan, daughter of John and Nellie Murray Hanrahan, was born November 25, 1910 at Roswell, SD. She received her elementary education at Danvers, Mn., then graduated from Manson high school in 1929. She attended Tobin Business College at Fort Dodge and worked at the Boston Store. On May 1, 1935 she married Martin Daniel Hartnett at Barnum. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at Sears, J.C. Penney's, Lee's Glass and China and Bacon's Jewelry, all at Webster City. Mr. Hartnett died August 12, 2000. She had resided at Crestview Senior Living since March of 2003.

Mrs. Hartnett is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Hartnett of Clear Lake, Tom and Edna Hartnett, Darwin and Judy Hartnett, all of Webster City, 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughters-in-law, Janet and Pamela Hartnett; brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and James Hanrahan, sisters, Kathryn Kenning, Rita Albrecht and Mary Ketz, granddaughter-in-law, Angie Hartnett.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas, Catholic Daughters and the Moose Family Center.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to the St. Thomas School.
