Linda Toering, 54, Webster City, passed away at the Hamilton Hospital on November 29, 2003. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2003 at the Church of Christ with Pastors Ray Artrip and Alan Sheldon officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Bridge at the Church of Christ. Foster Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Linda Anne Jones was born February 11, 1949 to Richard and Dorothy Jones. She grew up in Webster City and graduated from Webster City High School. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She was married in 1969 to Richard Toering and they had a daughter, Melissa, born in 1973. Her interests in the community revolved around music, including church contemporary worship music; compassion for animals and teaching young children.

She is survived by her husband, Rich, her daughter, Melissa, her son-in-law, Matt Pulis and her granddaughter Megan Pulis of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Sid and Katie Toering, her brother and sister-in-law, and her "grandchildren" Emily and Neil Toering of Fairbault, Minnesota, her brother, Loren Jones of Webster City; her parents, Richard and Dorothy Jones of Webster City, her uncle, Jerold Jones of Webster City; and her aunt, Avis Cook of Mercedes, Texas. Linda requested that no flowers be given, but that Memorial donations may be sent to the Church of Christ Music Committee, the Youth Service Center or the Relay for Life (Pleasant View team or Peterson Construction team).
