Mabel Wiese, age 91, formerly of Jewell, died Monday, October 13, 2003 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the Federated United Church of Christ in Jewell. Burial of her cremains will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell.

Mabel is survived by her daughter, Judy (Duane) Arndt of Jewell, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Wiese of Athelstane, Wisconsin, grandchildren, Penny Rholl of Jewell, Kevin (Lisa) Arndt of Jewell, Kim (Dave) Fraser of Huxley, Daryl (Lisa) Wiese of Iowa Falls, Mike Wiese of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Scott (Linda) Wiese of Fort Louis, Washington, and nine great-grandchildren.

Becker Funeral Home in Jewell is entrusted with arrangements.
