David "Sugar Bear" Scott Robb, Sr., 42, of Ellsworth, passed away January 29, 2022 at his home in Ellsworth. A Celebration of Life service will be February 11, 2022 at 12:30 at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:30 at the church on Friday.

David was born on March 11, 1979 in Ames, Iowa to Bill and Rogenia (Herrington) Robb, Sr. He married Layna Meldrem on August 26, 2016. Sugar Bear has lived in Ellsworth for the past eight years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, going to rodeos and being with family and friends. Sugar Bear was loved by so many and he always had a joke to tell to make anyone laugh. David was a stranger to no one and once you were part of David's world, he had your back no questions asked!

Bear is survived by his wife, Layna Robb of Ellsworth; his children, Brian Robb and David Robb, Jr. of Afton, Iowa, Quintin Meldrem of Jewell and Shealyn Collum of Zearing; a grandchild Kamdyn Meldrem; his brother, Bill (Amy) Robb of Jewell; his father, Bill (Bonnie) Robb of Ellsworth and his mother, Gina (Pat) Sweeney of Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Rick "Big Daddy" Herrington.

No words can explain the emptiness we will forever have from losing him! This is not a good bye; but it is until I see you next time!
