Miss Jane Belknap Dies in Des Moines

Miss Jane Belknap, former superintendent of the Hamilton county hospital, died Tuesday evening at Des Moines. She had been in failing health for some time.

The body will lie in state at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines until Friday afternoon when services will be held at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church in Millertown, Iowa.

According to Find A Grave Jennie M. 'Jane' Hancock Belknap was born 13 Sept 1885 in Bethlehem, Wayne Co., Iowa and died in 1958; she was the daughter of John M. Hancock and Rilla Nevada Townsend Hancock Draper. Jennie was born one day after her father died at the age of 24. She is buried next to him. They are buried in the New York Cemetery, Millerton, Wayne Co., Iowa.
