Martha Bringolf, 79, of Webster City, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center at Ames. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Martha Claire Loughry, daughter of James and Alice Scott Loughry, was born Nov. 15, 1925 at Blairsburg. She attended Blairsburg Public School, graduating in 1943. In high school, she was active in musicals and basketball. She attended A.I.B. at Des Moines, then worked in the personnel office of Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, during WWII. On Oct. 5, 1946 she married Robert William Bringolf at the St. Paul's parsonage at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at McMurray Hatchery, the Community Chest, KJFJ (KQWC), Morton Frozen Foods, Clerk of Courts office (John Hall) for several years and the Chevrolet Dealer at Webster City. They retired in 1976 and traveled and spent time with family and friends. Mr. Bringolf died Jan. 7, 2002. She had resided at Crestview for the past 3 years.

Mrs. Bringolf is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Karmon Bringolf of Cedar Rapids, Robert and JoAnn Bringolf of Newton, Thomas and Renae Bringolf of Rapid City, S.D.; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret Rairdin of Toledo, Ia.; brother, James Daniel Loughry of Woodland, Wa.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Paul, Robert and W. Scott Loughry; sisters, Marie Bickford, Mickey Schwiebert and Mildred Stephenson.

She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, charter member of the Hamilton County Public Hospital Auxiliary, D.A.V. Auxiliary, former Girl Scout Leader and former Cub Scout Den Mother.
