Tim Allen Kruse, son of Ben and Dorothy Marth Kruse, was born February 12, 1949 at Iowa City. He graduated from the Charles City high school in 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Vietnam War. He attended an auto mechanic school at Omaha. He moved to Webster City, from Charles City, 25 years ago. He married Diane Elliott and to this marriage three children were born. They were later divorced. He farmed in the Kamrar area until his retirement, due to failing health, in 1989. In 1990, he married Sharon Craig at Missouri. They were campground hosts at the Brushy Creek Recreational Area, for six months each summer, for the past 11 years.

Mr. Kruse is survived by his wife, Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Amanda Kruse of Bondurant; daughters, Jennifer and Julie Kruse, both of Des Moines; step-children, Denise Bull of Des Moines; Don and Melissa Monroe of Kamrar; Deanna and Brett Carr, Donna and Curt Ites and David Wheeler, all of Iowa Falls; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; aunts; uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a past president of the Kamrar Lions Club; member of American Legion at Charles City and the Webster City Moose Family Center. He enjoyed camping and horseback riding. He will be sorely missed by his 2 dachshund puppies, Sissy and Dappy, his constant companions. His hobbies included accompanying his wife, Sharon, to her many Bingo calling assignments at the Moose, Hamilton County Fairgrounds and the Kamrar Lions. He was an avid collector of 1/64th scale model semi-trucks as well as many specialty belt buckles. One of his favorite annual events was attending the Iowa State Fair.
