Ruth Hall, 99, of Webster City, died Friday, December 24, 2004 at the Hamilton Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Williams, with Rev. Tom Hunt and Rev. Gerald Naber officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.

Ruth Beatrice Anderson, daughter of Sock and Bertha Nerbo Anderson, was born on May 9, 1905 at Leadyard, Iowa. She attended rural school at Liberty Center. On May 22, 1928 she married Obed Johan Hall at Williams. The couple farmed in the Williams area until 1968, when they moved to Webster City. Mr. Hall died February 14, 1970. She continued to reside at her home. She had been residing at Southfield Wellness Community for 3 weeks.

Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Waneta Hall of Webster City; grandchildren, Carolyn Cross and husband Vern of Webster City, John Hall and wife Chris of Radcliffe, Gwen Johnson and husband David of Ellsworth, David Hall and wife Sherry of Williams; 10 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Arnold Hankom, sister-in-law, Eva Hankom, both of Iowa Falls, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Obed, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Selmer Anderson.

Ruth was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams where she was active in the ladies aid, community circle and had taught Sunday School for several years.
