Karlis Sunins, 92, of Webster City, died Monday, December 20, 2004 at his home. There will be no funeral service or visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Karlis Alberts Sunins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Juris Sunins, was born May 5, 1912 at Latvia. On February 22, 1940 he married Mirdza Leimane at Latvia. In Latvia, he was an architectural engineer. The couple moved to the United States and Webster City in 1949. He had been employed at Zitterel-Mills Construction, Raven Mill Works and Lillegard Construction. He had been retired for several years.

Mr. Sunins is survived by his wife, Mirdza; son and daughter-in-law, Janis and Phyllis Sunins and daughter, Mara Swanson; granddaughter, Michelle Sunins; all of Des Moines.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
