Marvis A. Olsen, 89, our loving mother, was born in Stanhope, Iowa on March 11, 1915 and went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2004. She has been a Mesa resident for the past 16 years and resided at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home.

Marvis was united in marriage to John Olsen in April of 1941. Together they raised two beautiful children. She is preceded in death by her husband John and is survived by her son, Meredith "Red" (Michelle) Olsen, daughter, Rosemary (Edward) Seidenfeld; a brother, Clark Coats of Stratford, Iowa, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the spring of 2005 in Jewell, Iowa. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family.
