Dorothy Jean Peterson, 83, Webster City, passed away on Oct. 30, 2004 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Internment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home on Nov. 2, 2004.

Dorothy was born in Perry, IA on Feb. 23, 1921 to Tom and Jesse Burgess. She was raised and educated in the Fort Dodge School system. Dorothy married Leo H. Peterson on Jan. 8, 1940.

Dorothy worked in the Eagle Grove School system for over 25 years.

Dorothy is survived by her children and their spouses, Randy and Mary Peterson of Humboldt, IA., Kathryn J. and Mike Fertig of Webster City, Scott and Leslie Peterson of Alexandria, VA., and Joe Peterson of Indianola, IA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo H.; her sister Virginia, and her parents.
