Clifford Blair Myers, 86, Webster City, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Webster City, with Pastors Peter Peterson and Steve Shelley to officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, Webster City.

Clifford Blair Myers, son of Harvey and Florence Stone Myers was born Nov. 14, 1917 on a farm south of Webster City called the Silver Farms. He attended local Webster City rural schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1935. On March 24, 1940 he married Alice Lucille Larson at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. The couple farmed southwest of Webster City in the Homer area until retirement in 1975 at which time they moved to Webster City.

Survivors include his wife Alice, his daughter Sharon Van Doran of Highlands Ranch, Co., son and daughter-in-law, Darle and Peggy Myers of Lehigh, 4 grandchildren, Steven Van Doran of Columbia, Mo., Thomas Van Doran, Fredericksburg, Va., Matthew Van Doran of Southbury, Conn., Dan Myers of Webster City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael and Mindy Myers, and his brother and sister-in-law George and Neva Myers.

Mr. Myers was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and worked with and on various projects at the church. His favorite hobbies included fishing, gardening and woodworking.
