Winifred Isvik, age 71, of Story City, died Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Becker Funeral Home in Jewell was entrusted with arrangements.

Winifred Inez Isvik was born May 24, 1933 in Boyd, Minnesota to Walter Charles and Tressa Mattie (Beisner) Bauer. She moved to Webster City in 1944 and graduated from Webster City High School in 1951. On January 11, 1964 Winifred married Donald Paul Isvik in Webster City. They farmed in the Ellsworth, Jewell and Webster City area. Winifred was a homemaker, a teller in banks in Ames and Webster City, and deputy recorder for Hamilton County. Winifred was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell and the Bethesda Lutheran Church Women. She has resided at Bethany Manor in Story City since March of 1994.

Winifred is survived by her husband, Donald of Webster City; a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Lori Isvik of Jewell; a daughter, Beth Isvik of Boone; a granddaughter, Amy; a sister and brother-in-law, Erma and Lonnie Graves of Webster City; and a sister, Carolyn Klaver of Webster City. She was preceded in death by her parents.
