Helena (Mrs. Morris) Stein, of rural Webster City, died early this morning, Friday, June 2 at her home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Dr. Charles W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home will be after 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2 until 9:30 a.m. Monday, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Helena Morene Knoll, daughter of Orville and Bernice Thompson Knoll, was born March 20, 1910 in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1929. She married Lester Raridon [typo - should be Rairdin] in 1932 [according to the Digital Archives of KYL they were married in 1934] in Webster City, where the couple resided. She was employed at Northwestern Bell from 1929 until her retirement in 1972. She married Morris Stein on October 9, 1971.

She is survived by her husband Morris, Webster City; daughter Esther (Mrs. Duane) O'Connor, Rogers, Ark.; son Ernest Raridon [Rairdin], Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister and five brothers, Margaret (Mrs. Lod) Nichols, Cedar Rapids, Lee Knoll, Herbert Knoll and Sam Knoll, all of Webster City and Richard Knoll and Robert Knoll, Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Stein was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Northwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers, Christian Women's Club and Hope Circle of Grace UMC.
