Funeral services for Henry A. Noffke, 71, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday [June 17, 1963] at the St. Paul Lutheran church with the Rev. Arthur Oswald officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 9:30 Thursday morning when it will be taken to the church.

Mr. Noffke died early Monday morning at a hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Henry Albert Noffke, son of Albert and Matilda Noffke, was born April 17, 1892 at Sigel, Ill. He was reared and educated in that community.

He later moved to Iowa, where he engaged in farming near Eagle Grove. He was united in marriage Dec. 14, 1915 to Mary Sinclair at Webster City, and to this union two sons and two daughters were born: Clarence Noffke, Webster City, Robert Noffke, Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Ray (Lenora) Miller, Webster City and Mrs. Byron (Helen) Huse, Baldwin, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Noffke started farming in 1917 in the Webster City area and continued farming until 1946 when they moved into Webster City. With the exception of a few years, they had always resided in Hamilton and Wright counties.

His wife preceded him in death Aug. 18, 1952. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was united in marriage Feb. 22, 1954 to Zelma Arnold Jones, and the couple had since resided in this community.

He is survived by his wife; his two sons and two daughters; a step-son, Leland Jones, Grundy Center; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Mark Storm, Stewardson, Ill., Miss Tillie Noffke, Sigel, Ill., and John Noffke, Effingham, Ill., and a half-sister, Mrs. Emma Reinholz, Sigel.

Mr. Noffke was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church and was a former trustee of the church.
