Iona R. Nelson, 73, Lawton, Okla., died Jan. 21, 2004 at Texas Specialty Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Iona was born Aug. 1, 1930 in Webster City, the daughter of Clifford M. Allen and Laura Morrison Allen. She attended Webster City schools. In 1948, she married Donald Woodmansee. She worked at Hamilton Co. Hospital and then took care of patients in their homes. In 1951, she married Robert J. Nelson. They resided in St. Paul, Minn., for many years where she continued in home nursing.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husbands, brother, Dwayne Allen. She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Nelson, Jr., Lawton, Okla., and Ray Nelson, St. Paul, Minn; one sister, Bonnie Etter, Webster City, and several nieces and nephews.
