Donna J. Day, 72, West Des Moines, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at McLaren's Chapel. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.

Miss Day was born on Dec. 21, 1931 in Blooming Prairie, MN., the daughter of Willard and Elva (Rothrock) Day. She was raised in Webster City where she graduated from Lincoln High School. Donna worked as a telephone operator and supervisor for 10 years in Fort Dodge. She lived in Ames and Phoenix, AZ where she did office work. She worked as an Executive Sales Secretary at Mid Central Plastics in West Des Moines for 23 years before retiring in 1997. She attended the First Baptist Church in Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents of Webster City, and a sister, Arlene Davis of Hibbing, MN. Survivors are her four sisters, Lois Philbrook of Kamrar, Shirley Ellison of Urbandale, Doris Bonnstetter of Dolliver and Sandy Van Winkle of Des Moines, and one brother, Bob Day of Woolstock.
