Tressa Bauer, 90, Webster City, died Monday, July 24, 2000 at Crestview Manor Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home.

Tressa Mattie Beisner, daughter of Fred and Teresa Singer Beisner, was born Sept. 13, 1909 in Hamilton County. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster High School in 1926. After graduation she taught school in Hamilton County. On Feb. 18, 1931 she married Walter Bauer. The couple farmed for 13 years in Boyd, Minn. They returned to Webster City and farmed until December of 1971 and then moved into Webster City from the farm. Mr. Bauer died Dec. 28, 1972. She had resided at Crestview Manor since January of 1995.

Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law, Winifred and Donald Isvik, Erma and Lonnie Graves of Webster City, Carolyn and Leland Klaver of Jewell, one sister, Katie Fiedler of Arkansas, three sisters-in-law, Vera Temple, Webster City, Golda Bauer, Fort Dodge, Bernice Crawford, Arkansas; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kent Klaver, great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Payne, brother, Antone Beisner, sisters Erma Kennedy and Marie Dick. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

[correct spelling of her sister's married name is Fielder not Fiedler and sister-in-law Vera Temple should be Tempel]
