William (Archie) Studley, 89, Fort Dodge, died Monday afternoon, March 13, at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center following a long illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Fort Dodge, Rev. Robert Matheus, Boone, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation at the Gunderson Funeral Home in Fort Dodge is after 3 p.m. today.

William Studley was born Aug. 18, 1899 on a farm near Kamrar, where he attended schools. He married Rae Playter in Chicago. He was employed as a foreman at the Tobin Packing Co., and later with Hormel, both in Fort Dodge. He then worked for the Englehorn Packing Co., in Newark, N.J., and at the Tri-County Meat Packing Co. in Buffalo, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife Rae, Fort Dodge, and daughter Marcia Phillips, Maple Shade, N.J.

Mr. Studley was a 50-year member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge 111 A.F.A.M., Delta Chapter No. 51 R.A.M., the Calvary Commandry No. 24 Knights Templar, Aurora Chapter No. 311 Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and was a past watchman of the Shepherds of the Olive Shrine 15.

Memorials may be given to the Shriners Memorial Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.
