Maynard Wilson, 69, Webster City, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Carter and Gerald Caquelin, lay pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Maynard Lesslie Wilson, son of Lesslie and Zada Hanson Wilson, was born Jan. 4, 1931 on a farm northwest of Blairsburg. He received his education in a rural school in Blairsburg Township. On July 30, 1950 he married Norma Jean O'Connor at Webster City. The couple farmed northeast of Webster City and in 1973, moved to a farm northwest of Webster City. He retired in 1990 and moved to Webster City.

Survivors are his wife, Norma, sons and daughters-in-law, Mick and Linda Wilson of Traer, Bruce and Janet Wilson of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Kevin Park of Webster City; grandchildren, Matthew, Kimberly, Stephanie and Scott Wilson, Lynn McKinney, Aaron, Ryan and Chad Park; a sister, Joan Smid of Webster City, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Michael Lesslie Wilson in 1986.
