Eva Jean Stephenson, 72, Williams, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams with Rev. Tom Hunt to officiate. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery, Williams. Visitation will be at the Surls Funeral Home in Williams from 4-6 p.m. Friday.

Eva Jean Blau was born Dec. 13, 1928 in Alexander. She attended schools in Williams and Parkersburg. On June 2, 1949 she married Russell Stephenson in Owatonna, Minn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Williams Senior Citizens. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams.

Survivors are her four children and their spouses, Susan and Phil Trusty of Eagle Grove, Ed and Deb Stephenson of Williams, Alice and Doug Worthington of Eagan, Minn., and Thomas Stephenson of St. Louis Park, Minn.; four grandchildren, Grant Stephenson, Lauren Stephenson, Alyson Worthington and Amanda Worthington; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo Mel Schroeder, Fort Dodge and Joyce and Jim Duea, Ames; a brother and sister-in-law, Sherman and Marcia Arends of LaVerne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and step-father, Grover Arends.
