Mark Eugene Walker, 55, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Nov. 20, 2000 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Memorial services were held Friday, Nov. 24, 2000 at the McLaughlin Mortuary Chapel in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., with Chaplain Joel Underwood officiating.

Mark E. Walker was born August 11, 1945 and was a 1963 graduate of South Hamilton High School in Jewell. He received his undergraduate and post-graduate education at the University of Iowa, graduating from law school in 1970. Following four years of U.S. Air Force service in the Judge Advocate General's office, he chose to continue his legal practice in Fort Walton Beach. In addition, he was an Adjunct Professor at Troy State University. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association and the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association. His legal career spanned 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Joalyn Walker, son Kirk Walker of Fort Walton Beach, daughter, Monica Walker of Great Falls, VA., parents, Grover and Florence Walker of Jewell, twin brother, Michael Walker of San Diego, Calif., brother, Mick Walker of Jewell and sister, Mary Beth Willis of Jewell.
