Myrtle Anderson, 82, Stratford, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000 at her home. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Stratford Lutheran Church in Stratford with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery north of Stratford. Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday at the Stratford Lutheran Church from 8:30 a.m. until the service time. The family will be present Monday from 7-8 p.m.

Myrtle Olson, daughter of Axel and Frieda Lindquist Olson, was born August 17, 1917 in Stratford. She was a graduate of Stratford High School. She married Lloyd A. Anderson in Rockford, Ill., on Feb. 28, 1952. She was a homemaker and helped her husband in their farm operation while living on the farm. She was a member of Stratford Lutheran Church where she was active in various church activities including circle. She was a former Sunday school teacher and served as the church organist and youth choir director for many years. She was a member of the Swedish Club and volunteered as a 4-H leader when her family was growing up.

Survivors are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Jay Johnson of Webster City, Lois and Glen Jonson of Leawood, Kan.; four grandchildren, Jessica Johnson and Eric Johnson of Webster City, Robbie Jonson and Alyssa Jonson, both of Leawood, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, in February of 1968, and one brother, Arnold Olson.
